These Irish initiatives are part of the broader Tralee Irish Language Plan, which aims to strengthen the presence of Irish in the town and surrounding areas.

Planning for the Tralee Irish Language Plan began in 2020 with Tralee officially recognised as a Gaeltacht Service Town in 2022. This status reflects Tralee’s vital role in supporting Irish-speaking communities and fostering the use of the language in everyday life.
