Art Exhibition & Auction by New Wave Wild Project
A Wave of Change returned to Siamsa Tire for another amazing exhibition, auction, and workshop series. A month-long showcase of art depicting blue space inspired creative expression and therapeutic inquiry. Each piece was available to bid on in our art auction to raise funds for New Wave Wild Project adventure therapy. Creative expression through this exhibition of art mirrored the purposeful therapeutic capacity of adventure therapy which is grounded in and inspired by the natural environment and resources in green and blue spaces.
The impact and reach of the 2024 event was enormous, directly supporting young people and families to access adventure therapy, and raising awareness about this evidence-based alternative to traditional talk therapy.
Workshops: During the event, A Wave of Change hosted a range of creative workshops that created the perfect opportunity to immerse participants in a creative space and explore some new practical skills with a wonderful selection of experts.
A Wave of Change is about diving into experiences inspired by amazing blue and green spaces, and leaning into therapeutic moments through creative engagement, play, mindfulness, and connection.
New Wave Wild Project is a non-profit clinical adventure therapy service based in Camp, Co. Kerry. They aim to remove barriers of access to great therapy for young people and families by increasing awareness about their approach, and raising funds to support early intervention adventure therapy. Their initiative, ‘A Wave of Change’, aimed to find creative ways to remove those barriers and the art exhibition and auction at Siamsa Tire was one of the exciting events to support this work. The exhibition took place at the Gallery in Siamsa Tíre from 31st July-28th Aug 2025 and had wonderful feedback from visitors and artists. Auction bidding ended on 28th Aug and took place online via Galabid. Officially opened in Siamsa Tíre on 14th Aug 2024 with guest speakers: Shane Finn, Grace O’Donnell, & Artist Tina O’Shea.
The exhibition was free to enjoy during opening hours. No booking is required to view our exhibitions.
